2024 Tiverton Canal Co Photo Competition

Please read the Terms and Conditions (below this poster) before entering a photo into the 2024 Photo Competition.

Terms and Conditions

1. The competition is only open to amateur photographers (The following are excluded from entering – Judges, staff at Tiverton Canal Co and all of their immediate families).

2. Entries must be of the horse-drawn barge Tivertonian.

3. Entries must not have been offered for sale or have won other competitions.

4. You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of the picture/s entered.

5. By submitting your images, you agree that Tiverton Canal Co reserve the right to use any of the images in whole or in part as required, free of charge, for promotional material i.e. website/information guides. Tiverton Canal Co will not give other parties permission for use of such images without your agreement apart from for editorial use accompanying a Tiverton Canal Co press releases. Copyright will remain with the photographer.

6. Entry to the competition is free.

7. You can enter a maximum of 10 photographs per person.

8. Photos entered into the competition will be judged in 2 categories: Photos taken pre-digital photography and those taken with a digital camera. Tiverton Canal Co to determine the most appropriate category.

9. Only digital entries supplied as JPEGs (a minimum size of 500kB, maximum 5MB) by email will be considered. To enter a non-digital photograph, take an image of the photo and send as JPEG. Tiverton Canal Co may request sight of the original photograph.

10. Entries should be emailed to competition@tivertoncanal.co.uk Please include your name, address and phone number and which category you are entering within the email.

11. Closing date -The competition closes at midnight on Friday 28th June 2024.

12. Judging - The photographs will be judged by a selected panel of judges in early July 2024 and winners will be notified before July 13th 2024. The names of the winners will be made available at www.tivertoncanal.co.uk/competition.

13. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted and no feedback on any entry will be provided.

14. Prizes - The winner from each category will receive a Gift Voucher for 4 Adults on a Horse-drawn Barge Trip. No cash refunds will be given in exchange for the vouchers.
