Recommendations for Rowing Boats & Canadian Canoes
For all hires we recommend:
- sun cream and sun hats,
- or if the weather is changeable pack the macs!
- taking your mobile phone on the boat (in the rare event of an emergeny).
- a change of clothes and a towel is a good precaution, especially with the Canadian Canoes (it is rare for people to get wet, but it's better to be prepared)!
Make sure all your private possessions (including your phone) are insured in case something should happen to them. (Waterproof mobile phone covers are certainly recommended!)
It's also best to use the toilet facilities in the basin before leaving on your boat journey.
Our rowing boats are extremely stable. Before or after your higher boat session, the Ducks Ditty Bar is on hand for food, with a full Bar for hot & cold drinks and Scoop ice cream.
